Sung Nagi Kici Okiju: Becoming one with the Spirit of the Horse is not a horsemanship model, it's a way of life. Our ancestors weren't just good horsemen, they were good relatives to the horse nation. Sung Nagi Kici Okiju is a culturally based approach to the growing fields of equine therapy and therapeutic horsemanship.

Equine Assisted Wraparound



is a child-centered, family-focused approach to providing strength based, needs driven, unconditional care to children and their families who have complex needs, utilizing a combination of natural supports, professional service providers, and the spirit of the horse. EAW is not a program or a service. It's a process to help improve the lives of the children and families you serve.



Equine Asssisted learning



is a unique experience that honors the spirit of the horse and their healing abilities. together we will look at the four stages of life3 to gain a deep understanding or who we are physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Becoming one with the spirit of the horse helps to improve creativity, problem solving skills, communication, teamwork and leadership skills.

all across the world, people who are descendants of horse cultures are working towards bringing the teachings from the horse nation back. Becoming one with the Spirit of the Horse would like to offer our assistance to those groups who are interested in developing their own equine programs. We can provide one or two day community demonstrations followed by stakeholder meetings to facilitate the learning in your community.



Systems of care/The Wrapround Process



systems of care are family driven and youth guided, with the strengths and needs of the child and family determining the types and mix of services and supports provided. It is community based, with the focus of services as well as system management resting within a supportive, adaptive infrastructure processes, and relationships at the community level. They are culturally and linguistically competent.

Cultural Resource Management



Is an introduction to the National Historic Preservation Act and the Section 106 Process that focuses on lessons learned from over eight years serving as the Tribal Historic Preservation Officer for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.


Topics include a tribal perspective on protecting cultural resources within the context of a Traditional Cultural Landscape.


Traditional Cultural Specialist training on cultural resources within the Great Plains.
